TimeSys is the provider of LinuxLink, a Web-based subscription service that enables developers to create customized embedded Linux software platforms. TimeSys aggregates Linux updates from the open source community and semiconductor manufacturers. It provides the software on a hosted basis to customers in the aerospace, telecommunications, medical devices, automotive, and consumer electronics industries. Customers include Canon, Siemens, Lockheed Martin, Honeywell, Northrop Grumman, and Raytheon. The company has attracted private equity funding from such investors as Sun Microsystems, Philips Electronics, The Hillman Company, and Adams Capital Management.
