Instantánea de Frick Collection
The Frick Collection consists of hundreds of works of art, including paintings, sculpture, furniture and porcelains, clocks, and textiles, that are housed in a Manhattan mansion built by steel and railroad tycoon Henry Clay Frick. Upon his death in 1919, Frick bequeathed his vast collection of Western European art (from the Renaissance through the end of the 19th century) to the public. In addition to its permanent collection of more than 1,100 works of art and other exhibitions, The Frick Collection offers public programs, such as lectures and concerts. An affiliated facility, the Frick Art Reference Library, offers books and photographic materials for scholars.
