You get to meet people.

Desventajas

They are a bunch of liars. My friend tried to warm me but I wouldn't listen to him about it being a horrible company. They feed you full of BS during your week training. They entice you with big money promises. Then when you get finished with your training they send you 250 miles one way to a city, the private room they promised you turns out to a house with 3 people and one bathroom to share. Once your in the field you are no more than a walking telemarketer. You will have a book manager that you have to meet and work with who will never have any time to help you with questions or problems. The manager will spend approx. 2 hours once you arrive and then will throw you to the wolves. Now for the money. You spend a week in training and then there you go on the streets. You work a full 5 day week which they tell you you get $400. per week but you get $300, your first two weeks not $400. And the same the next week. NOW here is the biggest of all. They tell you when they hire you that you have to spend 6 weeks employed with them or they want ALL their money back, flights, food, motel. But what they do is fire you at the end of a week before your 6th week and then refuse to pay you for the week you worked and have pay coming. So you didn't leave their employment they fire you and say " well you didn't stay with us for 6 weeks" When you call for your pay they tell you to send all your employment packet back and they pay you after it arrives back at corporate. Thats when you find out they are going to cheat you out of your money. After that they won't return your calls for your money. When you call to try to talk to your recruiter he will tell you he can't talk to you after you get through the training or he can be fired. Doe's that sound like a reputable company. My plans are to call the television stations and a lot more. You are CRAZY if you go to work for this company.

Multiple issues with this review. So I will break it down per issue. 1. This is a traveling job, it is stated on all job descriptions, during the interview process and when you are in training. The ONLY market that we have that is 250 miles away from someones home is two books out of 160 directories. That is NOP and Port Townsend. Those books are the only exception, and my reps that work that book will stay in that market for the 3 months it is worked. In housing we pay for. 2. The housing for that market is shared and is told in advance to the reps that are hired. Traditionally all 157 other markets. the majority of them can be commuted from their home destination. If you are traveling more that 35 minutes from your home you have the option to stay in that market during the week on us. We provide hotels or lodges for our sales reps. 3. As far as the 300 pay vs the salary. Every company has a two week lag on pay and so do we. We offer Paid training. $600 which is paid out two weeks after training. But to help our sales professionals out we break that up into 2 paychecks the week after training and the week after your first sales week. That equals your first week training pay of 600.00. Now after those 2 weeks you get your traditional salary plus commission from your first week selling in the field. Now every week you get paid your salary plus the commission from two weeks ago. This is all stated by the recruiter, and a email of this break down is sent to every potential hire. 4. As far as breaking our training agreement, unfortunately this job may not be for everyone. We do believe in its better to train and work with a current employee that go find another one. But people do quit before 6 weeks and prior to being hired everyone is sent a training agreement stating that if you decide to end employment prior to 6 weeks, we will retain your last check to try to off set the money we invested in the candidate. We have purchased a flight to training, paid for lodging, paid for food, paid for trainers and managers who invest time in a new hire. We are invested over 3k as soon as they sit down in training.

From day one I felt very welcomed and part of the team. Training is provided based on need so I was not stuck in a classroom for weeks like in other jobs.

Desventajas

Building is older and in need of an update. 90 days to qualify for holiday pay. 1 year before PTO.

They did not reimburse any job expenditures, just before I was let go, they did start doing up to $100 per week in gas reimbursement. No other job related expenses, of which there are many.
