Ventajas
Decent starting pay for a fresh grad (but hardly any increments or career progression after)
Desventajas
1) Lots of last-minute covers and no time to complete marking on working days as a result. 2) Zero work-life balance. You'd need to work every day unless you are on a flexi-T scheme (which is no longer offered by the company by the way). 3) Poor training of new teachers, many are thrown into the deep end without sufficient knowledge on marking and teaching requirements. 4) Manpower is becoming a serious issue with more and more teachers leaving. When a teacher leaves, a replacement is hardly found until much longer after, leaving the remaining teachers responsible to take over existing classes, adding to their already heavy workload. 5) Poor communication between departments 6) Poor distribution of students between classes. Some classes have only one student, while others have twelve. 7) No incentive for monthly teachers who cover more classes in a week 8) Uneven distribution of classes allocated to monthly teachers. Some are required to teach more classes than others on a weekly basis. There is no transparency on how classes are distributed or allocated to teachers. 9) Demanding parents 10) Company functions as a business rather than an educational institution. Some children are not suitable for the curriculum, yet we are tasked with trying to get them to continue attending lessons.
