Ventajas

There really is none except you make your own hours.

Desventajas

Sun Life says you are self employed YET you must attend each and every meeting, training, talk...they have. You also MUST have an office, that you then pay for, you pay for your schooling, books, exams, computer....BUT your commissions come from Sun life. It is a rotating door of people who believe the lies you are told in the beginning. Sun Life gets some new business out of a new advisor, the advisor cant make money doing this for long , leaves and all clients stay with Sunlife You will NOT make a good living at this job, you will make 20-25k per year after paying everything . There are other companies out there that pay a BASE salary plus commissions and pay for your office space and assistant. RUN AWAY from this job, you will LOSE money here, not make it.

Ventajas

Holidays off, okay pay, cross train in other areas that are needed

Desventajas

Managers, doesn’t keep advancement promises, always mentioning room for growth but when the opportunity presents itself they have an excuse for why right now is not a good time to move. Adds training for other departments that are short staffed but don’t compensate for all the different departments calls you are taking. Trying to take PTO is a pain, there are plenty employees so there should be no issues with taking time off
