Ventajas

So much beer. Many great people in the company. Performance tracking was pretty cool. They offer solid paternal leave to both men and women which is one thing they are exceptional in.

Desventajas

Not as relaxed as they claim to be. Spreading tobs of misinformation to employees to keep them in line. You can see one person's claim that 40-45k is reasonable for experienced software devs because they have work-life balance. This was just over 1/2 of the median software dev compensation in this city, and despite management's claims, median software devs don't work more than 40 hours/week, especially in Portland. They liked to so this gs like claim they offered "free" health insurance, "except for a small fee". Their commitmwnt to doublespeak is commendable. I found it hard to take my vacation days. Despite claiming to be a laid back company, they were very touchy about a lot of topics. Some of the upper management had a tendency to use manipulative interpersonal tactics if they weren't getting their way. Very political. Overall the place was filled with self promotion rhetoric to make their programmers think that they had it great when they were in reality locking themselves in to a substandard career path more and more every day.

Ventajas

The services team is awesome. Generally everyone worked well together. Lots of work but good people. The VP of Operations is awesome, best leader I’ve ever worked for.

Desventajas

Always busy and pay is mid-range for the industry.
