Ventajas

Interesting technology. Good work life balance, as no one really knows what anyone does.

Desventajas

There is no trust in the company and most employees are very tired of management that seems confused and only interested in short term target delivery upwards. The main focus for many seems to be to lie low and avoid blame, not to build a sustainable business. A lot of yes-sayers without essential competence has been promoted to made up roles. The intranet homepage is nowadays only used for publishing propaganda and the really important information is not being communicated, employees rely on gossip to know what is happening. It is not surprising that the employee satisfaction survey has been cancelled.

Ventajas

Work–life balance is actually respected. Most managers honor boundaries, don’t expect late-night firefighting as the norm, and are fine with you taking time off when you need it. Solid parental leave. The parental leave policy is extremely generous compared to a lot of places in the industry, and leadership is generally supportive of people actually using it. Interesting, challenging work. Plenty of chances to solve real problems, not just busywork. If you’re proactive, you can own projects and grow your skill set. Good benefits package. Healthcare, 401(k), and time off are competitive, and HR does a decent job of making the options clear. Smart coworkers who care. A lot of sharp people who genuinely want to do the right thing for customers and the business, which makes collaboration worthwhile when it works.

Desventajas

Communication needs improvement. Priorities and decisions don’t always flow clearly from leadership to the teams doing the work, which leads to confusion and rework. Too many silos. Teams tend to operate in their own lane, and cross-functional collaboration can be painful. Information gets stuck instead of shared.
