Ventajas

- You'll get to work with some major brands and can turn this into some serious CV entries - Most people are really really nice and you'll have a great time working alongside them

Desventajas

- You'll be worked to the bone, especially in peak - If you work in an embedded team, you'll find yourself doing more work than your counterparts on the client's side, yet paid much less than them - You'll have to watch your really nice colleagues deal with bs that they don't deserve - Impossible to be promoted unless you move teams (which often means moving offices) or your manager getting promoted (which almost never happens)

We’re glad to hear that working with great people and big-name brands has been a positive part of your experience - that matters a lot to us, and it’s something we’re proud of. At the same time, it’s clear from your feedback (and others like it) that there are areas where we need to do better. Workload pressure, particularly during peak periods, and the experience of colleagues in embedded teams are things we’re actively looking at. No one should feel burnt out or undervalued for the contribution they’re making. Your comments around progression and management effectiveness are also taken seriously. These themes have come through in our internal surveys too, and we’re not ignoring them. We’re continuing to invest in manager capability, clearer progression paths, and making sure accountability applies at every level - not just in theory, but in practice. Change doesn’t happen overnight, but this kind of feedback genuinely helps us focus our efforts where they matter most. If you’re open to it, we’d always encourage conversations like this to continue internally as well. Thanks again for being candid, and for the work you do for SMG.

Hours can be long, however it always feels like this is rewarded.

Ventajas

- Similar-minded colleagues make an enjoyable work environment. - Flexible working schedule is useful. - Managers offer freedom to develop, and work autonomously. - Good progression opportunities (only if you're lucky).

Desventajas

- The workload is AWFUL. You see it mentioned on almost every review on here, spanning years back, and they provide the same response about how they're working on it or actively looking at it. I can assure you that is a complete and utter lie. They do absolutely nothing to try and make workloads manageable, as they are constantly trying to cut costs, streamline teams, and most recently force redundancies and pay freezes. They may act performative on LinkedIn professing how much they care about your wellbeing, but they most definitely do not take any steps to make the job manageable within the time you have, and therefore everybody is stressed out and overworked. (I am sure they will provide the same banal AI-generated response here about how they're committed to making workloads more manageable, or something along those lines. Don't believe them.) - Base salaries are not competitive (partly why there's such high turnover). £33k for a Senior Executive role in London is terrible. You will also struggle to progress from there in most teams. - Disorganisation. Processes are convoluted, tedious, and waste lots of time. Too much admin & trivial nonsense is a large reason why the workload is too high (they have no idea how to solve this by the way).
