Ventajas

SES operates in an exciting industry and offers employees the opportunity to work on truly global initiatives. There are many talented and dedicated people throughout the organization who care deeply about the business and are committed to delivering results. The work itself can be challenging, rewarding, and impactful.

Desventajas

My experience is that there is a significant gap between the culture that is promoted and the culture employees actually experience. Employee engagement often seems to focus on surface-level activities and events rather than creating an environment where employees feel respected, trusted, heard, and valued as professionals. Career growth and advancement opportunities are not always transparent or applied consistently. Employees taking on larger scopes of responsibility do not always see corresponding recognition, advancement, or compensation adjustments. This creates uncertainty around what is truly required for progression. Leadership effectiveness varies considerably across the organization. Collaboration and open dialogue anre encouraged in principle, but in practice, employees experience challenges when raising concerns, questioning decisions, or offering alternative viewpoints. This sometimes leads to a culture where employees are less willing to speak openly. Compensation is generally competitive for some roles, but there are inconsistencies between responsibility levels, organizational impact, and rewards. The merger/integration is often cited as the reason for operational challenges, but that explanation is losing credibility over time. Employees understand that integration creates disruption; what becomes frustrating is when recurring issues in communication, accountability, collaboration, and decision-making continue to be attributed to the integration rather than addressed directly. Successful organizations acknowledge challenges while also demonstrating measurable progress and ownership.
