Ventajas
The company offers good benefits (compared to other large companies in the valley). My manager is flexible with employees' request for time off for personal and family needs. My department has reasonable expectation on the employees' performance (i.e. They do not ask you to do the impossible). They can be patient with achieving results when taking a product to market.
Desventajas
Most senior managers are from NEC Corporate and has poor English skills (but one must consider the fact that most American has no Japanese language skills). But this does means one must work much harder to get a message across to management. Overall, the management and leadership skills are lacking. They have a lack of understanding of customers' & market requirements. The company has a culture of distrust and secrecy.
