Zero transparency, zero notice. Immediate withdrawal of access to team channels and zero handover of work - what a waste. Layoff was communicated in a video on Slack, then followed up by a scripted Zoom call with no communication from direct manager. Terribly managed. Afterwards, the People Team was completely incompetent and lacking knowledge when tying up loose ends regarding reimbursements, unemployment processes worldwide, etc. Left 100 people in a lurch and burned a lot of bridges. For a company who says their first value is "kindness" this was... revealing. - Chaotic hyper-growth environment with a lack of long-term vision - Feels like a "burn bright - burn out" company - Poor middle management - lack of direction - Lack of onboarding support - sink or swim culture - Lack of teambuilding - High workload, fast-paced, high-pressure
