Ventajas

Fair pay... management "attempts" forward thinking but while I was there did not succeed along that path very far.... decent building/facility... small company feel is somewhat pleasant environment to work in (when the politics of the workplace is not affecting this). Holiday events seemed to be supported and those who wanted to lead the effort were given the power to do so/participate actively.

Desventajas

Management focus seems to be on insignificant things like how to decrease email space (ie setting rule not to send attachments etc) instead of what is the next product we want to build our company upon. Focus on quality appeared to be a hot item but then was slashed suddenly when economy took a hit - you either believe in and support a quality product or you don't - period. Cutting quality programs is not the way to sustain in the long term. There seemed to be "favorites" in middle and upper management. Many employees came from AT&T rigid management style... which didn't translate well to this small company environment.

Ventajas

Company was a small (<500) with a global reach and lots of future vision. They have an outstanding product line and do see the value in emerging technologies. Great project Managers (Richard, Naim and others) that really listen to the sales team. They do have a sense of family in as many ways as a company can and Ching-I is a great leader. He really understands that decisions have to be made, painful that some may be, but the company has a goal and they will achieve it. I just hope they don't go public as it will really screw up the culture there. They started a great bi-weekly training which I think was the greatest thing they could have done. Truly some of the best people overall to work with.

Desventajas

They are doing what they can as fast as they can, but they need to really move some technologies further, faster. They need to drop DCIM as its a moving target in the industry. KVM is dying and they are right. A lot of emphasis is placed on the power management market and that is putting all your eggs in one basket. Diversify.
