Ventajas

People are nice, big company but with a flat structure, flexible, opportunities to travel.

Desventajas

The Danish arm of the business formed Ramboll UK from two fairly successful UK companies where now the UK business no longer turns a profit. Gloomy Outlook with consistent erosion of benefits even if HR tries to hide it by sending confusing letters to staff. Demands 95% productivity where realistically in the industry it is just under 80%; therefore unpaid overtime. Pay is so low that it is difficult to recruit let alone retain talented staff. As a result often senior staff are recruited to fill associate roles and their lack of management skills are reflected in the projects. Progression is good in London in junior roles but staff turnover is high so it seems difficult to progress in the regional offices. The work life balance is better in Denmark but in my team there was a lot of extra ciricular tasks around billable work. A chaotic management structure with no one knowing how a business should be run.

A wide variety of projects and some level of autonomy when it comes to types of projects you want to work for

Desventajas

No consideration for employee's talent, feedbacks often just focused on negatives so they can fire you the minute you don't show "yes boss" attitude. They are not doing well revenue wise and newly hired ones are let go first, citing "performance was not good". When you first join, they tell you not to worry about billable hours for the first 3-6 months, especially when the overall consulting work load was low across the board. But then they fire you for the same reason. Some managers are very kind and supportive when they give you feedback, but if you are unlucky, your reporting manager will use that feedback against you and fire you and not say anything positive. Low compensation.
