Desventajas
Note: the CEO is now the Senior Vice President after Rahi was acquired by Wesco The company lacks structure: - Many of the upper level management are not fit to be in their position but are there because of their relationship with the CEO and founders of the company. The warehouse has/had over two directors and three managers but it continues to be in disarray as items get lost, inbound shipments are received into the system incorrectly, and outbound shipments are oftentimes delayed. This in turn causes delays with projects and damages relationships with customers - Management is permitted to work from home while lower level employees are required to come into the office everyday and are allowed to work from home 2x per month - The erratic CEO will make drastic changes to any department or process without notice to affected department leaders and members Shady work practices and unfulfilled promises: - In an article posted on LinkedIn, the company discusses how it was not affected by COVID-19. This is not true as there were company wide pay cuts and employees were requested to continue working in the office despite positive cases - One manager requested us to take a 20 minute lunch break or work while eating when by law we are entitled to a 30 minute-1 hour lunch - With the logistic team’s inability to manage the workload, leadership would often require members of the sales team to assist in the warehouse. Expect to do physical labor and tasks that are not usually expected from an office job. At one point the situation worsened to the point where the CEO temporarily hired workers from Home Depot and paid them under the table to help the logistics team - We were told that we would be receiving complimentary time off during customer blackout periods but in reality we worked more hours and on the weekends instead - When Rahi was acquired by Wesco, the CEO assured that there would be no layoffs and that the company was simply looking for growth. A couple months after the acquisition, batches of employees have been laid off every month - The salaries listed on Glassdoor for Sales Operations Specialists and Inside Sales Representatives are inaccurate as you don’t receive commission Poor work life balance: - Day of the week, time of day, time zones and PTO don’t matter. Rahi has a sell first and worry about what we sell later approach, and this comes at the expense of its employees. With the high workload, you are often required to put in extra hours after work and have meetings with team members from different countries outside of your regular work hours. Management won’t hesitate to request you to work on a weekend with a day’s notice or contact you regarding work while you’re on PTO. The mental health and work life balance of the employees come secondary as the executives are focused on hyper scaling and annual growth. The CEO and management look down upon you: - The company will not invest in entry level employees as per the CEO, they are “replaceable”. Middle and higher tier management are consistently receiving raises and promotions while the entry level employees receive the short end of the stick due to “budgeting issues” and a lack of a next step in their career growth - During an all-hands meeting, the CEO was asked questions concerning the high turnover rate and actions that are being taken to mitigate it. In response to this, he shrugged this off by simply responding, “well our turnover rate is not as high as that of Google or Meta” - He loves to fire people and won’t hesitate to play that card if something does not go his way (e.g. an employee was fired for not picking up the CEO’s calls to work on the weekend) - Management was not surprised nor did they attempt to address any of the issues or concerns when they found out another employee was resigning - Employees fear voicing their opinions and concerns as they will be frowned upon by management and viewed as “problematic” Heavy Micromanagement: - Everything that you do (number of orders you processed, BOMs/Quotes created, length of your lunch break, days you are or not in office, etc) is tracked and monitored No set career path: - As a Sales Operations Specialist or Insides Sales Representative there is not much career growth for you
