A high-ranking HR member had to be asked by staff to try and show a little empathy in their emails about 'rightsizing', and the CEO basically told employees to get over it when they pointed out the irony of him claiming to be people-focused a couple of weeks after decimating an entire division of the company. They did send people branded hats though, so that's nice.
