RVO Health had so many layoffs in the short time that I worked there, and was constantly remodeling the structure of their business. They didn't seem to have any sensitivity to the impact a layoff could have on people's lives. There would be a huge round of layoffs and then a company-wide meeting where the CEO would talk about how nice his vacation was with his family in the carribean. There were a lot of weekly, mandatory meetings where people would just talk about fun facts or try to do team-building exercises, and it was distracting to have to spend my time in those in the middle of my work-day. I found the CEO and upper management to be really out of touch. Every company-wide meeting, they would try to give a motivational talk (usually with a bunch of sports references) to try to get everyone to put everything they have into their work and give it their all and leave nothing on the table. Why would your employees want to "give it their all" when you're likely to turn around and lay them off the next day? What are you giving your employees in return? The underlying greed was just a bit disgusting to me. In the time I worked there, my department was completely restructured, and we had to start doing work that a lot of us were not qualified to do because they laid off all of the qualified people (probably because they knew they could pay us a lot less). While I liked the people I directly worked with a lot, the company as a whole left a pretty bad taste in my mouth. Also the fact that it's owned by United Healthcare says a lot.
