Ventajas

You'll probably learn a lot very quickly given how rapidly things seem to change and how few people seem to be doing multiple roles. This does, oddly, lead to quite a lot of autonomy within a role as others seem too busy. You'll be exposed to a lot of information and will pick up a good level of high level technical understanding - whether intentional or not - so from that perspective there's a lot of info to be collected to add to your armoury.

Desventajas

If you adore working within a Short-Termism environment then go for it. Plans are made, enacted with urgency....then ditched within days. A lack of recognition of self-obtained professional qualifications. In fact, in my experience, there's a dislike of putting people forward for any professional qualifications - or even allowing time for employees to undergo such courses themselves. A complete reticence to commit to modern working practices is a real bugbear. The pandemic offered so much chance to move from the typical Micro-management environment of UK industry but, sadly, RAC just doesn't seem willing to fully commit or explore new or inventive practices.
