Ventajas

I have the opportunity to work with a great group of people on a daily basis. Our team is not only knowledgeable but we mesh well. We work hard. We are not only working together for a common goal but we also are friends outside the workplace. When one of us seems stressed, someone always comes in at the right time to make us laugh. Also, if you produce results, you receive compensation and promotion for your efforts. The management and VP's are very approachable.

Desventajas

It is not a 9 to 5 type of workplace. You have to learn how to balance work, home and social life. The company is still in the process of instituting things to make the company better than it already is. I appreciate those efforts. We are still a young company so we are working through our trials.

The voluntary separation offer was good.

Desventajas

I and hundreds of colleagues were transferred from Providence Health & Services to R1. We were told we were guaranteed our jobs for a year. They started offering voluntary separation packages less than a year in. This was suspicious. I didn't take the first couple of offers, but eventually I did - things were feeling uneasy. Since leaving I've heard that there were several layoffs. R1's India team has taken over a lot of the coding we were doing. In the reviews I read before we started with R1 I know losing jobs to the India team was common. I'm glad I left when I did but it's been hard finding a new job.
