Ventajas
There are some people with a high level of expertise whom you can learn from. Lots of great people to work with. For many jobs (except e.g. shift work), there are flexible hours and "summer hours" (in the summer get off early Friday afternoons by making up your time the other days of the week). There are many wholly or partially company-supported programs for development of employees and their families, e.g. community involvement grant lottery, sports participation support lottery, volunteering abroad program, youth leadership. CEO is a down-to-earth guy who genuinely cares for his employees.
Desventajas
Lack of stability and high turnover (which has increased recently because of the company's problems) due to a combination of departures and periodic restructurings. The people who leave or whose positions are eliminated tend to be intermediate level - the result is that there's often someone at the top who doesn't have time to deal with a problem, and if it gets delegated, the entry-level person whom it is delegated to has to do a job they didn't sign up for, and doesn't have the experience or institutional knowledge to deal with it correctly and/or in a timely manner. Can feel like things are chaotic because of the above, and because things are always changing and there's also a lack of communication among departments. It sometimes feels like the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing. Also generally there is a lack of transparency and/or lack of direction (it's difficult to tell which) from upper management. Certain members of the upper management are better talkers than doers.
