WOW. What a place to NEVER work for again. I had SIX (6) interviews for this "new" position at O2 fitness, which, was a mix of phone calls, in person, and zoom interviews. Overall, while excited for this role once I was offered the position, I was nervous because it seemed that no one knew what exactly this "new" position's role really was. And BOY was that evident during my 3-month employment. What I thought was a role that would utilize my degrees in health & wellness, turned out to be a glorified sales position. I "oversaw" the personal trainers....by that, I tracked their sales and packages to their current & future clients. My actual job was to take brand new or potential gym go-ers and tell them why they need personal training. Now, don't get me wrong....EVERYONE can benefit from PT. BUT the slimy, pushy, straight up manipulative tactics that the fitness president ENCOURAGED us to use to get Mrs. Jones's money was weird. Upon my last month of employment, I was given an "ultimatum" that would "help my career". They wanted me to sell $XXXX in training services by EOM - which I did within 2 weeks. But, not good enough for them. And I was let go the week before Christmas without so much of a warning. Oh - and never EVER stand up for yourself OR your mental health! Why? They'll laugh in your face & tell you to suck it up or leave.
