HR can definitely be improved. From the moment I had to mail my documents, they weren't clear with the directions and never answered directly to my questions. It was apparent to me that they were doing things to make their lives easy rather than be more accommodating. They just provide the vendors they use for benefits and leave all the work to you to figure out on your own, e.g. my commuting card was deactivated due to their missed payment, and I'm responsible for fixing it even though the commuter fund was deducted from my paycheck.
If you work for Matchpoint, I'd recommend avoiding having to talk to HR at all cost. It's so stressful because they won't do anything for you.
