Ventajas
I'd give it 4.5 stars but not an option. I've been here since Feb 2016, it began in July of 2015 or so. I've worked in 8 to 10 telemarketing rooms in the St.Pete/Tampa area over the last 5 years. The telemarketing involves cold calling prospects from purchased lists. They let you know that upfront. As with all cold calling there is much rejection which many are not use to dealing with. They are working on driving traffic to a website so there are some warm leads, but not many. We are treated like professionals. Casual dress is OK. Besides a base salary of $10 hr, we get paid $75 for an appt which is attended. I've generated 33 paid deals over the last 6 pay periods which are every 2 weeks. We get paid the following Friday. I'm not a superstar or great closer. Several folks are making more appts per week. So if your running tight, start here during the 2nd week and you'll be paid the following Friday; then every 2 weeks thereafter via direct deposit. There are health benefits that the company pays 60%. My plan is total of $450 a month, i pay $180. I'm in my late 50's. Much cheaper if you're younger. There is also a 401k that they pay into some matching percent which i don't know as I'm not in it. We can take breaks as needed and time-off is not a problem. There are 15 paid days off per year that accumulates each pay period from the first day. If you get 2 deals in a day which I've done 5 times or so, you take the rest of the day off with pay. This is a growth company. If you are not regularly showing up on-time and not working full-time then don't work here. If you have or want drama, this is not for you. There is some flexibility for buses and children. Last year there was an issue with a manager that was removed shortly after I got here. They do a basic background check but unless you're a child molester or violent felon they will work with you. W-2 position
Desventajas
There are supervisor telemarketing positions that they hire from within, but it basically is a cold call telemarketing position. So if you can't make 150 to 200 calls a day on a dialer, then don't work here. I've done 300 a few times and 200+ without breaking a sweat. In other rooms you're looking at 400+ calls a day and they ARE sweat shops. Many times fewer daily calls ie 75 to 125 as when you get an appt, there are some forms that need to be completed. Today I have 67 but had 2 deals, a meeting and a lunch provided by the company which occurs 2 or so times a month.
