Ventajas
There is little other opportunity for people to make a living wage in Brooklyn, IA. Despite the difficult culture in leadership circles many of the people that show up to do the work are kind, honest, and hardworking. At the very least I appreciate past and future positions with other companies. I will never again work for a company that treats their employees like Manatts does.
Desventajas
Leadership was misleading from the start. I relocated my family for a role I was told would be long term, only to be pushed out within three months. I was working 70–80 hour weeks under false pretenses, managing a software rollout that was poorly supported and destined to fail. When I gave honest feedback at a vendor event, I was labeled “negative” and told I’d be terminated “for cause”—but they couldn’t say what that cause was. I was pressured to resign and accept hush money tied to a full NDA, which I refused. The culture tolerates inappropriate relationships, unethical leadership behavior, and has an obvious lack of women in true leadership roles.
