The department runs on fear and control, not trust. You’re expected to stay on camera all day, every day even when you’re sick, burned out, or just need five minutes to breathe. If you dare turn it off, prepare for private messages, guilt trips, or public “reminders” about commitment. Time off? Only if you’re ready to be treated like you’ve abandoned the team. Meetings? Less about recruitment and more about listening to personal stories you never asked to hear long, uncomfortable, and completely off-topic. There’s no space to focus or feel safe. You’re constantly watched, questioned, or made to explain your tone, your face, or your silence. The result: a team that looks productive on paper but is emotionally exhausted behind the scenes. Several people have raised formal complaints. Nothing changes. Turnover is through the roof, not because of the work, but because nobody can sustain that level of pressure and psychological manipulation forever. Reality?
