Ventajas

Company grill outs and same-level employees were amazing and kind. I made a lot of good friends there, the only good part about it.

Desventajas

Long hours, absurd expectations, downward/classical management styles, lack of communication, impossible supervisors, lots of stress and not enough pay or appreciation. The list goes on. My advice, don’t work here!

- Collaboration is encouraged and part of every day - Company prioritizes continuous improvement and has exciting near+long term initiatives - Very warm, welcoming, and supportive environment with sound goal alignment - Excellent benefit plans for employees + families

Desventajas

- High ambitions can be demanding, but outcomes are rewarding and celebrated - A concensus-based environment can produce friction, but the company's culture fosters alignment on target objectives

Ventajas

There are many really great people working under this roof who could be even better with the right leadership.

Desventajas

Toxic micromanagement. Every decision goes through one person. For a company of its size, there are too many people who leave or get terminated. This is mostly because when you get micromanaged to the point where you second guess everything and are held accountable for decisions made by someone else, you stop caring. The message in most meetings… “do what I want or I’ll fire you.” Certainly does not create a great environment for productivity.

Our goal is to foster and maintain a stable and cooperative work culture. At Hiwin US, our workplace culture prioritizes independence, collaboration, and respect – not micromanagement. We empower teams by leading through clarity, structure, and established training processes. Initially, new team members should rely on their leader’s guidance to integrate effectively and support team goals. With the understanding that respecting established leadership decisions when new to a team, one will gradually contribute more independently as they gain context, build trust and understanding. In addition, we have well-defined processes and procedures in place to ensure that all decisions are made transparently and consistently. Communication is key in a company of this size, so it is important especially for team members and managers, still in the training phase, to properly understand the reasons why certain procedures or decisions are made. With the ultimate goal, that when a team member, of any level, will be able to make decisions based off of what is best for Hiwin. Furthermore, we continue to manage team member turnover and improve retention outcomes. At Hiwin US, we have an open-door policy, in which we always encourage feedback, including through to exit interviews. Even with your short tenure (less than six months) with our organization, we take your input seriously, and we will share it with our leadership team so that we can improve our team.
