- Project/program managers: 1) they juggle more than they should on top of handling operational work outside of archaeology, making direct and transparent communication a struggle at times. 2) Expect frequent last-minute communications. 3) Despite their good intentions, the impact of their actions is not as positive as they intended. 4) Inability to let go of logistics planning at times (ie. logistics should be discussed and determined by the staff that are directly impacted like who's going to drive the truck and what day are they actually available that meets the project timeline, as opposed to being discussed by the managers on their own and conveyed to the team right before work begins) - lack of streamlining project, field, lab, and writing schedules - inefficient teams calls - lack of control over fieldwork scheduling frequently
