- Good people to work with - Bonus possibilities - Used to provide equipment (unsure if they still do)
Desventajas
Internally, the main issue is the lack of accountability on the Sales side, this really makes it difficult to have a real team "connection" or any sort of genuine bonding, as Account Managers are pretty much untouchable despite lying, baiting and switching, and down right deceiving clients. From embellishing what products do, to making false performance promises, eventually all falls to the product and customer success team to try and convince parties to stay despite the initial lies at the time of making the sale. The CEO has a clear need of approval from other people so he surrounds himself with "yes men" who profit from his insecurity and constantly feed his ego. Mind you, the Sales dept. isn't entirely immune to the lack of true leadership and clear performance metrics, as newly added SDR's are expected to fulfill ridiculous targets, also, they don't have a clear pathway to become full account managers and close sales so they are "motivated" to work 15 to 18 hr days by their leaders, without a promise of being promoted. Not to mention that people with very little to no experience are hand-picked and promoted as managers, which provides no value to the team being managed as they don't have any valuable experience or advice to share. As a member of the CX team, you are expected to convince people who have been basically defrauded to find the "bright side" by pushing supposed performance projections for products that will never fulfill those set expectations. Basically, the culture at DearDoc is lying to the customer and whoever gets finally caught or called out along the way has to deal with the consequences, which 10 out of 10 times will be either Product or CX's fault. If you're up for playing the worst game of hot potato in which you are almost certainly going to lose and have to deal with an unjust leadership on top of angry customers, this is the place for you. This is without mentioning the culturally insensitive comments made by leadership at times, the intimidation tactics used by HR, and products advertised as "DearDoc" products that are actually white labeled from platforms they also lie to and steal from when possible. It's clear leadership's lackluster performance has caused revenue to slow down, and the team bares the consequences as previous benefits have been slowly but surely removed from the job descriptions, and their attempts at closing sales become more and more desperate as time goes by, as well as asking team members to leave false reviews for DearDoc to try and scrub the company's image online.
