Ventajas
Students were aged 2-18. Most were very respectful and eager to learn. The lesson material was provided and required only limited pre-class preparation. Parents were pretty easy to deal with and most expressed thanks for the effort you put in to teach their child. If the child was diligent, they of course made great progress. You got a pay-rise each year and after 4 years of employment I was earning $35 USD per hour.
Desventajas
There were about 10,000 teachers worldwide, which was awesome and at the beginning of my employment I had a supervisor that I could contact via wechat and ask questions. However, supervisors were done away with and you had to email the teacher co-ordinator department with queries. It was really hard to get an answer. The biggest con about the job is that DaDa closed down. I hope they venture out into offering tuition in other countries and bring teachers back.
