Ventajas
lax work environment, flexible hours, competitive pay. Everyone is very nice and friendly at first (the cattiness comes out later). Having dogs in the office is fun too.
Desventajas
Where to begin? Overall, there really is no future at this company unless you become besties with the boss, that is if she hasn't already hired one of her other besties to fill whatever role would be in your natural career growth path. (Can we say nepotism?). I'm sure the positive reviews on here are only there because CEO requested some current bestie employees put a good review up since all the rest of them are negative (and accurate). There is a major lack of direction, or maybe mis-direction is a better word. Seems the vision and mission of the company changes on a whim, yet nothing ever actually changes from an infrastructure, management and operational perspective. Sometimes feels a bit dishonest to clients, selling the company as something it's not, misrepresenting what the services truly are. And the services are staffing and recruiting, not professional services or true project consulting - I believe there is a difference between running a project for a company and just putting butts in seats. Catalyst does the latter, despite what they try to sell you or the lingo they force you to use. There are no clear goals or performance standards. The pay is competitive but the benefits might as well be non-existent and good luck if you think you'll ever get a decent bonus, even if there is promise of one. Management rarely follows through on anything, most of the time it seems they just tell you what they think you want to hear, but none of the promises ever come to fruition. Can't say I'll ever miss working at this company, and, based on what I've heard from others in the industry since leaving, it's probably not a bad thing to no longer be associated with the Catalyst name.
