i. You are force to work late every day and even the weekend. Working hour is at 6pm but if you are preparing to go back even 6.15/6.30 the management will look cynical at you and if you keep going back like that frequently, they will call/meet with you saying that you are not responsible on your job, you are not perform well, and you have to stay back. Bonus only can be paid for those who acting busy and working hard. They did not look for how efficient the staff work, but they will see how late the staff work. Working late = good employee!! Bravo ii. No communication. They did not share the timeline to staff. But when they share, it already late. And all burdens are going to staff shoulder. During that time staff will have to struggle/working very late/ not enough rest. If the schedule communicates properly to staff as early as they can, this issue will not happen. Staff can planning their job and fulfills the timeline. Example, staff did not know that the training will be held tomorrow, and suddenly you have to do all in one day to prepare for the training. The preparation will take like minimum one week, and then they expect you to be competence enough to do the job in ONE day! iii. Ridiculous. The management is terrible. If they don’t like you they will fired you with no reason. You have to please them all the time. You will ask to do printing/shredding paper/ photocopy/order food and not to mention that they are fired staff just because of the shredder stuck. Seriously? Yes!! And if they don’t like you or senior don’t like you, they will hold your probation period as long as they want without any acknowledgement, evaluation or black and white. They will silent and you will wait like no ending story. Company supposed to give you evaluation and saying that you are not capable enough to do the project or whatever. And then, yes, if it is true, staff can know their achievements. iv. No leadership! The management will yell at you any time if you do mistake regardless how small the issue it is. They will never care about how hard you work, but once you simply do mistake, you will have a bad day. Good luck! v. They are not fair! Senior can come late, but junior cannot. If senior come late, they are okay. If junior come late, they will yell at you. The good company will never choose the staff. Follow the policy and no favoritism! vi. High Turnover! The turnover is 20% or more in a year. People keep resigning and they are keep recruiting. No matter how many people they are recruiting, but if they can retain the staff, the company will looks like Disneyland. They focus on customer very well, yes, the customer is right, but in the organization, staff is the most priority. For them, customer is priority. They forgot who does the work for customer. vii. Beware with the senior. They always play around so that they can avoid from get blaming on something. There are certain people that hardly share their knowledge. As teamwork, we need to support each other, not blaming each other. viii. Applying leave is the hardest thing to do in the company. That’s why all staff will take EL or MC when they want to apply leave. This company is the HR system provider but they did not use their system properly. Staff applies leave but hardly gets approve. You apply today, the next two month they will approve. When staff EL, they will shout and yell at you. They will keep complaining staff did not apply for EL. How to apply when they are no one willing to approve. ix. Resignation. They never give Resignation Acceptance Letter to staff. They don’t ever care about when and how many AL to be paid. x. Working on weekend. They are so happy when staff comes to work on weekend. When staff come, “yeah, you are the best employee of the world, you are hardworking, you are good employee etc.” Do you think that working extra hour indicate that you are good employee? Or effective enough for the task? The more hours you spend on work indicates that the company has short manpower and overload job. It is does not mean that staff are refuse to come on weekend or to work late. But when every day you have to work late, and every weekend you have to come, you don’t have work life balance! Staff has life, not only slave to the job. And one more thing, they will never pay you when they come to work on weekend! xi. AL no pay. You hardly apply leave yet they did not pay if you got balance of leave. They said that leave can be brought forward to next year, but they never care about it. No one will calculate for you until it will burn for no reason. They will take for granted if staff not bring up this issue. They will assume your leave balance is always zero. There are staffs that “burn” their leave for nothing. The management keeps silent. xii. Promise during interview. Please do not trust any single word during the interview session. What they said is lie. But the reality is bad. In the interview, you will like you are the most talented person, most lucky person if you accept the job offer. It was like WOW, you are the chosen one, the best one, but once you accept the job, you got the ticket to worst place. xiii. Salary. Whenever they pay salary late, they will reply us “We are busy. We don’t have time to sleep. So many tender to be submitted,” Frankly speaking, who expect boss can say like that? A good company will never give excuse for the late pay. By hook or by crook they need to pay on time. Salary is the most important thing in the employment. People have commitments to settle on the certain date. They don’t care if staff gets late salary, but always care if they receive late payment from client. xiv. Company creates their own stupid rules. Staff only can get confirmed after project completed! There are no evaluations for confirmation. They will use mouth-to-mouth “evaluation” from senior as a benchmark. How biased this company! Then the bosses will 10000% trust what senior say. What kind of evaluation is that? Where is the proper way to do evaluation? Do bosses be with the staff when evaluate staff?
