Ventajas
Toronto headquarters are in a fashionable downtown district, the interior design is open plan loft with Persian carpets and soft lighting - this is relevant since this reflects management's given careful thought to productivity and a nice work atmosphere! The people Algo employs are generally young, sociable, hard working and polite people, few back stabbing corporate climbers. Staff "churn" is very low, people like it here and stay for years since we're all given the chance to progress our careers (even internationally). Algorithmics compensation package is extremely good and management do their best to be transparent regarding quarterly targets so staff can see how well the company is performing.
Desventajas
Frequent national and international travel for most Professional Services staff. Mid-level management is rather bloated which can hamper timely decision making. Poor communication between headquarters and satellite offices on all levels.
