Strangely, the next day the same decision-maker announced that the store would remain open and that a new store manager would be appointed, a plan that has still not materialized after seven months. In the interim, the store has operated with interim managers and a reduced staff, while pay remains low and the culture has deteriorated, leading to ongoing turnover and a perception of practices that are not consistent with fair and respectful treatment of employees.
