Ventajas
Roster of Fortune 50 clients, and a few Fortune 10 ones in there too. Great opportunities to work with some great clients on groundbreaking and trend setting work. Smart and talented co-workers, congenial and open atmosphere among staff. Nice mix of different kinds of projects from print to digital. Financial services and corporate, to CSR and NFP work. The industry leader in investor communications (print ARs and sites) and simplified disclosure (designed proxies and 10-K). Been around for more than 50 years, but still current; an amazing achievement in of itself these days.
Desventajas
Upper management needs to do more to listen to the needs of staff. Could have better management systems. Some policies are implemented on an ad hoc basis. Hours can be long and stress very high; but much of the work has critical SEC deadlines and clients that often do not live up to their ends of schedules, and that can be a recipe for disaster - but it all gets done in the end. This is typical for any agency in investor communications; its crazy busy for 3 to 4 months out of the year. We do a lot of excellent web design, but could do better with development and implementation. We do some innovative branding as well, but again, implementation can be an issue. Gets a little better every year, but still need work. There is an awareness of weaknesses and a willingness to do better.
