Underpaid compared to new hires: My hourly rate was 50% lower than what they were willing to pay a new candidate for the same role.
Overwhelmed with responsibilities and no support: New tasks were added continuously, and when I communicated being overwhelmed, and difficulties with how information is shared/received that affected efficiency, absolutely nothing was done to help.
Poor Communication Culture: Managers operate like freelance leaders, with no clear pathways, training, or support plans for staff. Feedback, performance reviews, and strategic guidance are often ignored or managers go completely silent. The result? Employees are replaced or sidelined instead of being supported. This isn’t just a vague observation, it’s something I personally experienced twice.
