Ventajas

Team members and pretty much everyone is so friendly and helpful so you which will help you grow and tackle challenges, specially in legacy. Payroll is really great, which I encourage to negotate as much as possible on entry just in case it gets complicated to get an increase once in. Flexibility even on hybrid schedule as long as you get your work done.

Desventajas

Management is pretty random, they change their mind every quarter and move a lot of people around. They may be proud of not firing anyone but that is because it feels like they made them quit before doing so. They still have a high turnover rate (but decreasing over time) so either you meet someone that has been there over 10 years or someone new which affects Legacy teams where there is a lot of lost knowledge so most of the challenge is understanding the product. Your personal experience in here will completely depend on which team you're on but like I said everyone is there to help, the challenge is the product.

Ventajas

Remote work setup and contractor pay were competitive for the market. The work itself had potential to be interesting and challenging if the environment had been more supportive.

Desventajas

My experience was defined by a very unsupportive manager. As a new contractor, I received minimal onboarding and was expected to “hit the ground running” on complex tasks with almost no guidance. Requests for clarification were met with comments about not needing to “spoonfeed” me rather than actual support. Feedback was often vague and harsh instead of specific and constructive. I was told that I wasn’t thinking “critically” enough, but expectations for what “good” work looked like were never clearly laid out. There appeared to be a pattern of high turnover under this supervisor. In my short time there, it was clear that multiple people had cycled through the same role, which says a lot about the culture and leadership in that area. My contract was ended with language essentially saying I was unable to perform the job, despite my making good‑faith efforts, asking questions, and trying to understand their processes. There was no real opportunity for coaching or improvement—just abrupt termination.
