Ventajas

Since it’s an American company, the pay is good, especially if you’ve been there for many years. But if you join now, they promise promotions that never happen. In fact, they end up letting you go and replacing you with a new intern. Lots of afterwork events. They let you stay at the office for team building with colleagues or have a few beers. The work environment depends on the team you get, and it can be good. They give you one paid week off at Christmas and another in summer (though they’re phasing that out, so it’s probably no longer the case).

Desventajas

The HR team is not very effective at resolving issues. In several colleagues’ cases, meetings with HR did not lead to any real solutions. Communication and people management could be improved, and teams are treated differently depending on the location. HR strongly encourages employees to work from the office, although the HR team itself is rarely there. Promotions often seem to happen only when someone indicates they may leave; otherwise, salary increases tend to be minimal. There are employees who were hired many years ago who sometimes limit the growth of newer team members. Overall, treatment is not always consistent: if you have a good relationship with management, things go smoothly; if not, it can feel like your work is overlooked. The company can also feel quite paternalistic at times.

Ventajas

There are a lot of talented people who work across brands at TechStyle. I learned so much during my time there and appreciated the relationships I built. They reward hard work and promote from within.

Desventajas

Can't think of any, I had a really positive experience
