Ventajas

Work colleagues were willing to help and share their stories. I developed friends and relationships with other MEDMs and CEDMs. I love to travel to clients and communities to assist them in achieving their goals.

Desventajas

Leadership and Executive team culture. In my long tenure, I have experienced John (the previous CEO) and Nathan (the current CEO) and can see the root issues in leadership and their executive team. The company has grown significantly at the cost of its employer. Internally, we can see high turnover rates because people aren't happy working here. Unwise resource management, Many Rivers has spent a lot of funder money for the annual conference, bringing all employees from all different places in Australia instead of utilising that resource to improve the work systems, salary, or giving back to clients and communities as per their purpose statement. I can see Many Rivers executives don't practice what they preach.

Ventajas

Flexibility to work autonomously from home and opportunity to make a difference for people leas fortunate. Good pay compared to similar roles. Thats it.

Desventajas

P&C are an absolute nightmare to deal with. Good operators are thrown under the bus regularly and demoralised, whilst poor workers are a protected species. Front line teams aren't given the respect and appreciation they deserve and are treated as minions. Never have I experienced toxicity induced trauma like it.

Ventajas

Some of the co-workers were kind and supportive, but that’s about the only positive thing I can think of.

Desventajas

The workplace culture is extremely toxic. I was continually harassed and discriminated against to the point where I felt I had no choice but to leave. I would have definitely had a case with Fair Work given the severity of the treatment I endured, but I decided it was easier to walk away. Unfortunately, I wasn’t the only one — many employees experienced similar treatment. The turnover rate here is shockingly high, and management’s style is built on micromanagement and constant questioning rather than trust or respect.
