I was already employed in the company and interviewed for the Model Builder position. Very casual meetings prior to the interview. Once I met with the Model Shop management a few times, I was able to apply for an open position. They tend to fill very quickly so meeting and putting myself out there beforehand was a huge help in getting an interview.
