The interview started great. I met with the recruiter, then the hiring manager and then the department head. As the process continued, however, the scope of the position began to expand past what was listed in the job description. By the end of the process, I was being asked questions about marketing that didn't relate to the role. They also had me write a sample article which was never mentioned again or brought up during the interview process. Finally, they had me go into the office. During that interview, it abundantly that they had decided to go with another candidate, a waste of time and gas.
