I applied via LinkedIn and was contacted by the hr person. At the time I was told that the interviewers were keen to progress quickly so I gave my availability for the same week. When I got to the main reception on the interview day, the concierge on duty tried to get hold of earthport's reception but no one apparently was picking up. I was told to sit and wait and finally after 10 minutes (which was already past my scheduled interview time) an employee from earthport coming into the building was told by the concierge that he couldn't get hold of anyone at reception and to inform my interviewers that I had arrived. After another ten minutes or so one of my interviewers came to get me. The guy was young, very quiet and not friendly at all. When the interview started, he was joined by his colleague, the senior manager and also mlro. Throughout the interview the guy who came to collect me did not utter a word. The interview was done by the senior manager, no smile, no cordial greeting, he had a poker face throughout, was condescending in the way he was questioning me. I asked about the progression for this role and was basically told that there was none! Why was this role available? Someone had «moved on». Salary on offer was 22-27k. I was told they had other candidates to see and would hear the next week. I didn't hear anything for two weeks and even then it was the hr lady sending an email (to myself and others) just saying that we had been unsuccessful on this occasion. Nothing else. Absolute waste of my time. In hindsight I wouldn't have accepted the role if it meant working with an arrogant bully and his silent sidekick.
