I have got referred for a position so I got contacted by the Recruiter for and interview with the HR director, a series of tests and a call with manager of the position. The process itself was pretty fast and smooth (2 weeks). However, even if I reached the end of the process I haven’t heard from them. After a month I started to ask multiple times for a feedback: the first time I asked I have been told to wait couple of hours for an update on my status and then nothing ever again. After 2 months they opened again the position on LinkedIn without never coming back to me ( although the referral and my attempt to reach out to them). The interviewers were nice, but the process very poorly managed.

Previously I have applied to Zalaris in Prague Czech Republic and due to my miss i was rejected for not knowing the required language which is valid and reasonable. Three months ago i was contacted by a recruiter from the company if i am interested in a HRBP role and would like to have interviews. At that point i was on vacation on a different continent but I said yes and made myself available for the interview. The first interview with the TA Lead was already the next day. After the interview was over the TA Lead suggested we move forward with a different role with German language due to my previous roles and the knowledge of the language. The second interview was scheduled instantly the day after with a German speaked. Both interviews were fluid and really capturing the essence of my previous work and i had a great feeling of the company and the values they represent. Two days after i got the assesment test, so overall it took 1 week to have the 2 interviews and the assesment test. On the first this amazed me and i was not expecting efficiency like this. Two weeks after all that i sent a follow up to the recruiter but no response came back. One month after the recruiter responded and apologized for the delay due to some personal time off and said that the role is on hold. I am not sure which exactly the first i initially was interview or the one they said i would be a better fit, but anyway she said she will have an update later that week. This was 2 months ago and i got no response. I see the company renewed a position for HRBP so i guess that one is not on hold. So I am not sure where was the miss. Feedback is important even if it is negative. From initially being amazed by the recruiting speed and the whole process i ende up disappointed at the end stage. I would say this was my first encounter to the "ghosting" everyone mentioned. I gave it some time and a second chance to the company to maybe reach out and explain some steps, but now we are at 3 months from the interview process and no word from anyone.
