Entrevista
I applied online and a few days later, they sent me a link to schedule a phone interview.
The interviewer didn't make it to the scheduled time, but they did notify me via email 30 minutes in advance.
They didn't really ask much technical questions, just mostly about my experiences.
I submitted my resume and cover letter online, and about two weeks later was contacted by a recruiter for an initial 30-min phone screen.
Day of phone screen, my recruiter didn't call until 20 min after the original set time. My schedule was fairly open so I didn't mind and was okay starting the call late.
Phone screen was a resume walk-through, asked me about a time I experienced push-back and what I did, talked about the role and promotion path, and then asked HR questions, including anticipated start date, willingness to relocate, and expecting salary.
Immediately after the phone screen, I was given an assessment to be completed within 48 hours (you can ask for more time if you need). They included logic and problem-solving questions. I have done several candidate assessments before and the questions they ask for are often tailored to the industry, but this assessment very specific to BounceX (a little odd) in my opinion.
I don't come from a Digital Marketing background, but I thought I did a good job (spoiler alert I guess I didn't) based on my previous experiences and training. I submitted my assessment and my recruiter said he will let me know as soon as he heard back from the team. About a day later, I received a generic rejection email. It was a little confusing because I was expecting to hear back from the recruiter personally and thought maybe he'll reach out after the generic email, but after reading the other reviews I'm assuming not. It is disappointing to miss out on a great opportunity and not get much feedback.
I have experienced much worse recruiting that I'm honestly not salty, but for a company that touts great employee and user experience, it looks like the New Grad candidate experience could improve to be on par with the reputation.
