A few weeks later, the internal recruiter called and sorted out an interview date immediately. Had a long interview remotely, which went positively, hiring managers seemed interested and willing to follow-up via email. Then, received an automated mass rejection as if I hadn't taken part in an interview; language was the same as screening rejection.
