Interviewed for a senior developer position where I was told by the recruiter that they needed someone strong in front end development but also knows C#.
During the interview, the manager grilled me on nothing but deep devops knowledge. Not a single question about my programming background. I am a programmer of 35 years who also has *some* devops knowledge but still, this was supposed to be a programmer position.
During the interview the manager was also munching away on snacks which I found rather disrespectful. Worst of all, he kept walking around and the camera's "auto follow" was moving so much I was starting to get motion sickness by the end of it. I'm not exaggerating on that. Had to go take some nausea medicine afterwards.
In the end, I was told I "didn't have the knowledge he would expect from a senior developer". Which is wild because, again, we never actually spoke about anything to do with developing.
