The initial phone interview will be an "informal" interview asking normal questions (i.e what do you know about the company, tell me about yourself). If moved along, you will then meet with the hiring manager (30 mins). If moved forward you will then take an assessment. Lastly, you will then complete a panel interview (4 people). Pay is a cash base plus equity (so keep that in mind). Response time is mediocre.

I received an email one week after submitting an application online. I scheduled a call with a recruiter. The recruiter was extremely low energy. Not even a calm demeanor, just low low energy. It was hard to be enthusiastic when it's a phone call and the person on the other end is giving nothing. It was a 30 minute call, and a somewhat weird one at that. She kept on asking questions that I had already answered pretty clearly. It seemed like she just had a list of questions to ask and wasn't paying attention to see if I had already answered it in a previous sentence. I'm not even talking about her wanting me to expand on something, it was very apparent non-listening. She explained that should I move on to the second round, I would meet with the hiring manager, and then the third round is a meeting with the CEO and other members of leadership. I got a rejection via email. However, I learned Wheel recently laid off ~34 employees, so I am glad it didn't work out.
