Overall, the process was smooth and suited to the pace of my job search as I was traveling frequently at the time. Specifically: I was initially introduced to Wealthfront by a friend who put me in touch with a member of the growth team, with whom I had breakfast. I was then put in touch with the VP of engineering, Avery Moon. A week later, Avery and I spent about two hours together over coffee, during which he spoke about what Wealthfront is doing and why. I was impressed by his ability to articulate a clear mission and vision for the firm. Over the next couple of days, as I became increasingly enthusiastic about my potential role, I was invited back to the office where I met many other members of the research and engineering teams, did a programming task, and worked through a few math problems. The following week, I was invited back to meet the CEO, Adam Nash. The meeting was interesting and friendly, even fun. Finally, a week later I met with Avery once more because I wanted to probe the specifics of my role. After my indicating that I would accept an offer if one was extended, the offer followed the next day.
