I had a phone interview with Wayfair hiring manager and probably the worst conversation I had in my life. The interviewer was so aggressive. Wayfair needs to understand that the candidate is also judging them in the interview. They interviewed me for a particular role and then came back with an offer for a more junior role. And though we had discussed my current role and salary expectation, they low-balled me with an offer which was around 30k less than what I am making right now..LOL. Interestingly, post the interview they never got back to me till I got in touch with the HR recruiter. Overall, very un-professional behavior from their side. Later on talking with others who have interviewed with Wayfair, I got to know that this is a common practice with them and they have done with the same with others too. It was a sheer waste of time for me and I would suggest that don't go for any interview with them unless you are unemployed and have no other leads. Even then, go expecting the worst
The interview process was so well put together. The experience described was exactly what I experienced. Well described and executed. This allowed me to prepare in the most effective way.
Case interviews, many rounds, very data driven. The rounds of feedback and hiring manager role in hiring were vague. Process lingered for weeks followed by recruiter call sharing internal candidate hire.

Simple three step process. HR, technical and final. It was a smooth process. HR person and Technical managers were very knowledgeable. The whole process took 3 weeks. There were e commerce related questions in technical round.
