I filled out an application online and received a call from the store manager a few days later; we scheduled an interview for the next day. When I first came in, I went to a backroom and completed the skills assessment on a computer. The questions were not difficult. All of the math involved was very basic, and reading comprehension was tested solely with pictures of coupons. There were also general questions regarding what you would do in certain situations, like when dealing with an angry customer or having a conversation with an employee. There were some pharmacy-related questions, but they also only involved basic math and reading labels. After I finished the assessment, I proceeded to the breakroom with the store manager. He started by verifying the work history I put on the application, and then asked a few interview questions. It appeared that he had a list of standard questions, and he flipped pages to choose the ones he wanted to ask. Overall, the store manager was relatively laid-back and seemed pleased with all of my answers. He then told me about the job, the starting pay, and the benefits that Walgreens offers their employees (as well as when an employee can apply for them). He then made an appointment for me to meet with the pharmacy manager a few days later so she could get a feel for me and determine if I would be a good fit. The day of the second interview, the pharmacy was rather busy and the pharmacy manager did not have a lot of time to speak with me. She was very friendly (albeit stressed). We reviewed my work history again and she asked a few more questions, mostly about why I was interested in the pharmacy. After the questions, she talked about the job and clarified that Walgreens will pay for the certification, including a certification for compounding if I were to start doing it. Before leaving, she said she had a couple more interviews the following day and said she would be in touch. A few days later, an assistant manager called and scheduled for me to come in the next morning. When I came in, I digitally signed some release forms and accepted the job offer, at which point I was given a sheet to take to a local clinic for drug testing.
