      Entrevista de Customer Success Manager

      14 oct 2023
      Candidato de entrevista anónimo
      Olympia, WA
      Sin oferta
      Experiencia negativa
      Entrevista normal

      Solicitud

Envié una solicitud electrónica. El proceso duró más de 4 meses. Acudí a una entrevista en WSECU (Olympia, WA) en sept 2023

      Entrevista

I applied online and received a request two weeks later to conduct a private, recorded interview with a third-party service to answer generic questions about my qualifications. I spent the time re-stating my qualifications to the SAAS from my resume and received a call back two weeks later for a phone screening. Then, it progressed to two additional phone screenings. Each time, weeks would pass without communication. I have been in a situation where I have been taking care of a parent who is undergoing cancer treatment. Although I did not disclose that to WSECU, at one point, I was told I needed to be in Olympia in 48 hours to conduct an in person interview. I made arrangements to have my parent taken to cancer treatment to rush down, at my own cost to WSECU to do the final interview; which, consisted of multiple panels of persons who were unrelated to the job and were a) lacked knowledge of the specific field of work I specialize in, and b) more humiliating, were unable to answer even basic questions about the organization or processes they had in place. After four hours, I left humiliated, having spent over $575 to make last minute arrangements for my parent’s cancer treatment arrangements, driving down to Olympia and making my own last minute accommodations and then the humiliating drive back up to Bellingham. I never once said anything about my situation or expenses but it was eating me inside when; after I arrived, I endured a below average interview experience where they belittled my 10+ years of work at two of the nation’s largest financial institutions (Bank of America & BECU). Twelve weeks’ later, they sent a terse 18 word response on Friday evening at 7:00 PM saying they were moving on with other candidates. As a consumer, I could have not only worked with the institution, I could have banked with them as well (personal and business). Instead, what they have shown me is that they are a callous organization of individuals who have no sense of professionalism towards those that want to work there; nor do they care about turning away my business. I regret the time and money taken from me and my family to do this interview, and I will not share my business going forward.

Thank you for your feedback on your candidate experience, and we’re sorry we didn’t meet your expectations. We appreciate the time you took in interviewing with us, as well as the time you took to provide this feedback. You are correct, our hiring process can be lengthy. We try to take an equitable approach to ensure that we are not rushing due to a false sense of urgency and practice inclusivity by welcoming multiple perspectives in our process. We value feedback and transparency and are glad that you are now sharing how you felt during the process. We were unaware that any of our candidates were coming from a distance or making any personal arrangements on short notice for any of our Manager interviews, as we could have discussed accommodations for timeframe flexibility or alternate arrangements had we known. Management level interview panels largely consist of internal employee service partners, staff that will report into the Manager position, and leaders who will supervise the role. As it sounds that you were not satisfied with the return answers you received from employee partners that you met, we understand that this may have not felt like a good match for you either and want to validate that. We continue to listen to feedback on these items and all the various aspects of the hiring process in order to improve upon it for our candidates.
