I had 2 interviews with HR and Buying Directors; first one was positive and open. After the interview there were two area's of doubt from the company: upon their request I emailed them with my vision on these two area's. This worked out well, as I was invited for a 2nd interview.
The assignment for the 2nd interview was two-fold: an online personality test and a business case for part of the mens collection. I was very enthousiastic about the role and therefor put a lot of time into the business case (also because I learned that there were only 2 other candidates left). During the 2nd interview I presented my vision and advice for the mens collection and had further talks about the role and how I could fit.
After a few days I got the feedback that the company didn't feel a 'click' with me, which was very suprising to hear. After all the effort I put in, this was a very vague and unstatisfying reason not to continue with me for the job. I emailed the Director for more detailed feedback, which could also help me in future applications, but never received a reply.
My experience was at first very positive, but after such a blunt rejection my overall feeling is negative.
